Dungeons and Dragons, Kiwi Style
Kia Ora folks from the Land of the Long White Cloud!
I am looking to put together a group of Kiwis to play an online game of Dungeons and Dragons!
The game would play on Tuesday nights at 6 pm (though changing to 7 pm once daylight savings kicks in) and would run for 3 hours or so.
I am using this as a fundraiser to raise money for a non-profit my wife and I set up that builds schools in developing countries We currently have solar-powered schools in Uganda and Nepal. The monies from this game would go directly to these schools to provide teacher salaries, school lunches, school supplies and so on.
The donation is $15 Canadian per session. Which is about the same in New Zealand dollars.
What you need to play:
An internet connection and a computer.
A willingness to have a good time
That’s it! I’ll provide everything else you need to play including access to all the sourcebooks.
The first thing we’ll do is go over creating a character and learning how to play. Maybe you are a barbarian who can’t control her rage? Maybe a bard who prefers to talk his way out of trouble? Or maybe a goblin witch who is angry at the world for treating her so poorly?
Then it is adventure time! We could:
Have your group try to rescue a group of friends that eventually leads them to a much more sinister plot. (This is a shorter adventurer and is designed with absolute beginners in mind).
Try and solve the mystery of an endless winter that threatens to destroy the Ten Towns of Icewind Dale
Travel across Hell itself to thwart (or possibly save) a truly diabolical villain.
Search the Jungles of Chult to find a cure for a death curse that is ravaging the land.
We can decide as a group what you want to do.
